2021’s Pinot Noir’s from all our stellar vineyards are impressive. A beautiful balance was achieved drinking like a cooler vintage with bright acidity, focus and elegance, but with some core ripe fruit mixed in–even with the record heat set in June.
The Dusschees planted Freedom Hill in 1981 and have been farming sustainably for nearly as long. Our acre from their 1996 replant of Pommard-clone Pinot Noir offers a great insight for those looking to learn the flavor of single-clone wines when juxtaposed against the neighboring Croft vineyard. This bottle is about ripe morello cherry, and raspberry preserves and extends a firm grip to the finish. Delicious.
