When we were finally able to convince our good friend, Ken Cancilla, to sell us grapes we were ecstatic. He had started growing exceptional organic, dry-farmed grapes  low-yielding just outside of Forest Grove in the Willamette Valley AVA just north of the Yamhill-Carlton AVA line and the quality was fantastic. In the 15 years since, Ken has retired (again) and has passed the vineyard on to the Trommello-McConnell family. Their commitment to building on Ken’s legacy bodes well for the future of the site.
