The northernmost block at Le Puits Sec continues to produce a wine that is quite distinct from the rest of the Pinot Noir grown not the site. One significant difference is that the La Grive Bleue is all Dijon clones (114 & 115) as opposed to the Pommard heavy rest of Le Puits Sec, but there also seems to be slightly different terroir over here. Of the four Pinot Noir releases this Spring the La Grive Bleue shows the most vibrancy, restraint, and nuance. 2021’s fruit is there, but high tones and brightness accompany it.
