2014 Evesham Wood
Pinot Noir Temperance Hill
One of the many fun things about wine is how a bottle can sometimes transport you to a past meal or place. I was just pouring this wine for a couple from the East Coast and after smelling it one said “this smells just like the tobacco barns my father used to have back in North Carolina”. I couldn’t agree more, maybe mixed with a bit of fresh sawn cedar, a classic Temperance Hill nose. The warmer 2014 vintage also brings in more fruit than the 2013 with red and black cherry intermingling with the classic Temperance Hill notes. 145 cases produced.
